Atlanta Sports City (ASC) Business Outreach and Opportunity events are designed to maximize minority and small business participation on development contracts and procurements. The developers and owners of ASC meet this objective through a series of information activities that provide networking, credential submission, bid notification and technical assistance. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet the principles of the project. These events are designed to facilitate the advancement and reinforcement of skill sets that small businesses need to partner with other firms, and perform successfully on the construction of several sports related venues, retail and entertainment facilities being developed and built in the Stonecrest sub-market.
On the schedule are also specific events that will identify the full scope of service and supplier needs. Attendees will learn about how to establish a business relationship with ASC and our expectations in conducting business. With an emphasis on outreach and partnering, rather than on goals or quotas, the initiative is designed to include significant minority and small business inclusion in all procurement sectors, including construction, professional services, maintenance and non-professional services, and materials, supplies and equipment.
All of our events require prior registration but there is no fee.
In preparation for these contractor and supplier/vendor events here are some helpful tips:
Practice your business introduction. Be prepared, specific and quick when discussing your company’s products and services.
Research Atlanta Sports City, the development/ownership team, and identified partners.
Check your business card and any print materials to ensure all information is correct.
Verify that your company website is up-to-date.
Have all of your licensing, financials, and credentials in order.
